Jenna-Louise Coleman was born in England. She's an actor who gained fame for her character Clara Oswald. The path to acting began for her in a stage performance at the age of seven as a Yer Space member, where her show Crystal Clear was performed at Edinburgh Festival. The production received praise and Coleman won the award in recognition of her performances. Coleman's big break was when she landed the part of Jasmine Thomas, in Emmerdale. The actress continued to appear in the series until it's ending in 2009. The show was awarded her a nomination in the 2006 National Television Awards for Most Popular Newcomer, for her performance as Jasmine Thomas. Coleman made her film debut in 2011, when she portrayed Connie on the film Captain America: The First Avenger. She had her biggest chance to display her range as an actor in the year 2016 when she took on the role of the former British monarch, Queen Victoria as part of ITV's Victoria. From playing a schoolgirl named Lindsay James in the BBC drama Waterloo Road to playing an empress on Victoria, Coleman has come a long way in proving her mettle as a fine actor.
