Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends soul gospel jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Avery Sunshine's performances have been on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at performing at Democratic National Convention. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta but she is out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing and playing piano in churches. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The first song to feature her vocals was Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12 song. It has been re-mixed and is now component of her repertoire. She has also contributed her singing on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for her daily shows at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
